FAQ

  • What payment methods do you accept?

If purchasing through the website, we accept all major credit cards. We also accept Apple Pay, Klarna, and Afterpay if you prefer to pay in instalments.

We welcome purchases using PayPal or Interac e-transfer. Please contact us to use these payment methods.

  • Do you have a physical gallery?

Have you seen the cost of rent?!

Jokes aside, no, we are an exclusively online store. This keeps our costs lower, which is a saving we pass on to our customers.

We operate out of Toronto, on the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit.

  • I am based outside of Canada or the United States. Why can't I see my country at check out?

Currently, our web platform only supports Canadian and American orders. We welcome international orders and are happy to facilitate your sale. Please use our Get in Touch link or email hello@veritafineart.com to get started!

  • Do you accept returns?

All sales are final; we do not accept returns. We encourage you to look carefully at the images, request condition reports, and/or reach out to us with any questions before purchasing.

  • What is your policy on Indigenous art?

At Verità, we do not profit off of the work of Indigenous artists and makers. If you purchase an Indigenous-made artwork through our website, we donate 100% of what you pay to the Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto, and are happy to provide proof of donation.

  • What condition is the art in?

Please note that many of our artworks are vintage, and are therefore pre-loved. They are historical objects that carry the marks of their past lives with them. In the spirit of transparency, we have tried to photograph any marks or deficiencies. You are encouraged to contact us for a condition report on any artwork.

  • Does the art come framed?

Some of our artworks are in their vintage frames (sometimes requiring a degree of TLC), while others are unframed. This will be indicated in the product description.

We have superb local framing shops here in Toronto. If you would like any artwork professionally framed (or re-framed) we are more than happy to work with them and get your art framed prior to shipping.

  • Do you provide authentication?

We provide whatever authenticity or certification is available for each individual artwork.

Occasionally, we know the exact provenance of an artwork, but working with vintage objects means that most of the time we don't. Provenance and authentication are important parts of our research process, and are reflected in our pricing. For example, a great artwork by a 'big name artist' will be priced significantly lower if we can't verify its authenticity.

  • What shipping options are available?

All products ship from Toronto. We ship all over the world.

Shipping to Canada is calculated based on the size of the artwork (small, medium, and large) and is visible at checkout after you enter your postal code. We also offer free delivery to the Annex and Seaton Village, and flat-rate options for Toronto, the GTA, and the rest of Canada.

For local pick-ups, alternate or express shipping options, please contact us.

For customers outside of Canada: contact us to arrange shipping quotes. We use FedEx for USA and DHL for outside of North America unless otherwise requested.
